As you read this, more than 30 Ukrainian women, children and the elderly representing sixteen families are safely out of harm’s way. Their 1,200 mile journey, and days spent traveling across four countries, became reality when an Iowa-based agriculture manufacturer reached out to help. Located in a Midwestern town of just 1200, this connection and this story will forever bring new meaning to #TeamSukup.
Sukup Manufacturing Co. is thrilled to announce that a team will once again build a Sukup Safe T Home® at the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk™ Series football game. The “Game Day Build” will take place immediately south of Reiman Plaza, located south of the Sukup Endzone Club, on Saturday, September 14.
On Thursday, May 16, Living History Farms, GoServ Global, Polk County Farm Bureau, and Sukup Manufacturing Co. will build a Sukup Safe T Home® as a new feature of Living History Farms. The build will occur while the museum is open, allowing guests—including hundreds of Iowa schoolchildren—to observe the process. The museum opens at 9am and closes at 4pm. Several special guests will gather at 2pm at the build site to commemorate the project. The build and especially the 2 o’clock ceremony are open to the press.
